Research projects

The Urban Planning Research Group at the Amsterdam School of Planning is structured around three primary research clusters: Critical Environment Studies, Critical Governance Studies, and Critical Mobility Studies.

While we work collaboratively across these clusters, each one defines a distinct area of focus that shapes the research identity of the Amsterdam School of Planning allowing us to produce impactful and interdisciplinary work. Together, these clusters reflect the Amsterdam School of Planning’s commitment to advancing knowledge and practice in creating cities that are socially just, ecologically sustainable, and responsive to the complex challenges of contemporary urban life.
