We are a close-knit team of academics at the University of Amsterdam’s Urban Planning Research Group within the Department of Geography, Planning, and International Development Studies, working to promote knowledge and practices in governance and urban planning aimed at creating socially just and ecologically sustainable cities.
This website serves as a supplementary platform for Urban Planning Group scholars at the University of Amsterdam to share their collective explorations, ideas, and discussions. It reflects the school of thought that we have developed through our academic work, offering an informal space to showcase ongoing reflections, collaborations, and research trajectories.
The research group is directed by Prof. Dr. Tuna Taşan-Kok, who serves as Program Group Leader of the Urban Planning Research Group, one of the research groups within the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR).
