Mobility
With a multi-disciplinary background in public health, urban planning and environmental design, I study the transition towards sustainable mobility using the bicycle as a lens. Leaning on qualitative methods and on-the-ground empirics, I have studied policy transfer and mobilities, knowledge transfer, experiential learning, and the social construction of governance and capacity in local policy practices.
My academic research on and experience with cycling policy and city-to-city learning has advanced my career as a leading subject-matter expert and one of the most sought-after speakers and educators for professional development about cycling systems and the mechanisms of governance, knowledge and capacity building.

Through inquiry-based learning, I inspire curiosity and empower students to ask critical questions, challenge assumptions, and think systemically. My goal is to guide students in developing the analytical and creative academic skills but also the ability to bridge research, practice, communities and beyond.
