Mobility
My work focuses on the issues of justice, autonomy and care in urban mobility and planning. I study how street spaces are designed and used to accommodate a multiplicity of functions beyond transport by increasingly becoming spaces of recreation, play and urban green.
Beyond institutional planning and governance processes, I study social movements around urban cycling and child-friendly cities by deploying the concept of prefigurative politics. I have a background in sports sociology and am interested in the governance and practice of urban sports. Methodologically I specialize in action research approaches using practical experiments and art-based approaches based on critical realism.
