Postdoctoral Researcher

I am an urban ethnographer with a background in anthropology, development geography, and mobility studies. I specialized in informal transport and the unequal distribution of mobility, connectivity, and circulation. Some of my previous work focused on cycle-rickshaw mobilities and infrastructural mega-projects in Dhaka, Bangladesh, looking specifically at the legacy of (colonial) modernity in shaping mobility landscapes and urban imaginaries. In my current postdoc position, which is part of the Common_Access research project, I look at how suburban and rural communities in the Netherlands try to (re)claim accessibility as a common good amidst various processes of enclosure.
