Urban streets face increasing pressures as cities strive to balance conflicting demands and enhance livability. To address this, there’s a growing need for innovative and holistic approaches to street design. In my participatory research at the Municipality of Groningen, I explore how municipalities can transition toward more holistic street design solutions, delving into the internal and external challenges and complexities that arise during this transition.
