Mobility
In my current research I focus mostly on the following broad themes:
The intersections between low-carbon and just mobility transitions. I developed the concept of “commoning mobility” that underscores the necessity to rethink how mobility is experienced, governed and given meaning to in order to envision and enact a transformative change.
Gender-sensitive urban planning and feminist urban planning. Since recently I investigate what we can learn from of activists and policy-makers who try to make mobility planning more gender-sensitive. In particular, I focus on knowledge instruments and inclusive knowledge production and use.
Knowledge and ignorance in planning. Drawing on ideas from feminist epistemologies, social epistemology and Science and Technology Studies (STS), I examine the politics of knowledge and non-knowing, connecting it to my work on just and sustainable transitions and feminist urban planning.

I worked on the Living in the Mobility Transitions project, a global comparative study on the futures of mobility. It resulted in the book Moving Towards Transition: Commoning Mobility for Low Carbon Future (2021), which I wrote with fellow researchers.
